Answers to frequently asked questions

How often can you apply for a Visa on Arrival?

There are no official limitations. However, with frequent entries using a Visa on Arrival, immigration officers may ask about the purpose of your visit and recommend applying for a long-term visa.

Why is it better to extend a visa through an agency rather than the Immigration website?

The Immigration platform may operate unstably. When applying independently, all возникающие вопросы and possible difficulties must be handled on your own.

When applying through an agency, the process is supported at every stage, which helps to avoid errors and delays.

Can you switch from a Visa on Arrival (VOA) to another visa within the country?

In some cases, it is possible to switch to another type of visa without leaving Indonesia.
For example, if you have an electronic visa (eVOA), you may consider applying for a KITAS for remote workers (E33G) within the country, subject to certain conditions.

If you plan to apply for C1, D1/D2, or D12 visas, you must leave Indonesia after your Visa on Arrival expires, complete the visa process abroad, and then re-enter the country with the new visa.

Can you leave the country and re-enter using the same Visa on Arrival if it has not yet expired?

No, the Visa on Arrival is a single-entry visa and becomes invalid upon departure from the country. A new visa must be obtained for re-entry.
