Required documents

Documents for the baby report

  • Baby's passport

  • Indonesian birth certificate β€” Civil Registration (issued by the local Civil Registration office)

  • Birth letter from the clinic

  • Birth certificate from the baby's country of citizenship with a certified English translation

  • Parents' marriage certificate with a certified English translation β€” if the parents are married

  • Passport-style photo of the baby

  • Parent's passport β€” main page spread

  • Parent's visa with extension stamps (ITK or ITAS) β€” mandatory: without them, the baby cannot be added to the visa

Additional documents for a KITAS for a newborn

  • The completed baby report

  • Electronic copies of the full main page spreads of both parents' passports

  • Electronic copies of the extension stamps on the parents' visas, or their ITAS

  • Bank statement for the last three months β€” check the balance requirements for a dependent KITAS with your manager

  • Sponsor company documents: deed, NIB, SK, NPWP, director's ID card, company letterhead and stamp

How it works

  1. Request. Tell us your baby's date of birth and the type of the parents' visa or KITAS.

  2. Choosing the option. We'll advise what suits you β€” adding the baby to a visa or a KITAS β€” and calculate the cost and timeline.

  3. Documents. We'll send you a checklist and review your documents before submission.

  4. Payment through your personal account.

  5. Filing the baby report at the immigration office where the mother extended her visa.

  6. Second stage. After the baby report, we apply to add the baby to the visa or for a KITAS, and the baby completes biometrics.

  7. Done. Your baby receives a stay permit.

What to prepare after your baby is born in Bali

  • Book a consulate appointment for your baby's passport right after the birth β€” queues are long, and 60 days may not be enough.

  • Get the Civil Registration birth certificate from the local Civil Registration office. If you can't do it yourself, message us and we'll let you know whether we can help.

  • Order certified English translations of the birth and marriage certificates β€” check the documents with your manager before ordering.

FAQ

Within 60 days of your baby's date of birth. It's best to start preparing early: you'll need the birth documents and the baby's passport to file.

You can still file later, but the immigration office will schedule an interview with an officer, and you'll need to explain the reason for the delay. This adds several weeks of waiting.

No. The baby report comes first, followed by adding the baby to the mother's visa or a KITAS for a newborn. The second stage is mandatory: without it, the baby can only stay in the country for 60 days.

Yes, the baby's passport is on the document list for both the baby report and the KITAS. It's best to book a consulate appointment for it right after the birth.

Electronic copies of the documents are used for preparation and filing. The birth letter from the clinic can be provided as an electronic copy of the original or of a copy.

A certified translation is required for the marriage certificate and the baby's birth certificate. Check the documents with your manager before ordering a translation.

On the parent's document: a C1 or D12 visa, an investor or work KITAS, or an E33G remote worker KITAS.

No. The baby report costs 1,300,000 IDR and is paid separately. The total cost of both stages is shown in the table above.

Yes. When added to the mother's visa, the baby receives a 60-day stay permit; after that, a new visa is needed β€” usually with a departure from the country. We'll find the right option for your situation.

Start your newborn's documents

Don't put it off: until the baby report is filed, the immigration office has no record of your child β€” the baby cannot get a visa or leave the country. Without being added to a visa or KITAS, your baby can only stay in Indonesia for 60 days, and if you file more than 60 days after the date of birth, the immigration office will schedule an interview with an officer, and the wait will stretch by several weeks.

Tell us your baby's date of birth and the type of the parents' visa or KITAS. We'll suggest the right option and help you prepare the documents.
