Restaurant Licensing in Bali

Open your restaurant legally and without unnecessary hassle — we will assist you in obtaining all the required licenses and certifications for full and compliant operation in Bali.

Required Certifications

Business Standard Compliance Certificate
Confirms that the restaurant meets the national standards for service quality, safety, and customer comfort.

Sanitary (Health) Certificate
Ensures that the restaurant complies with hygiene regulations and food safety standards.

Required Documents

For the Business Standard Compliance Certificate:

  • NIB (Nomor Induk Berusaha): the mandatory business registration number for companies operating in Indonesia.

  • Self-assessment form: a mandatory self-evaluation form to be completed after signing the agreement with our agent. This assists the certification agency in assessing the readiness of the restaurant.

Important:
The restaurant must be fully prepared for operation — renovation must be completed, kitchen equipment installed, and seating (tables and chairs) arranged.
For PMA companies (foreign-owned entities), a minimum of 51 seats is required (exceptions may apply and are subject to discussion with the agent).

For the Sanitary Certificate:

  • Hygiene and food safety certification (food handler & person in charge) for at least 50% of the staff plus one manager.

  • Valid NIB.

  • Business Standard Compliance Certificate.

  • Laboratory test results (water quality, kitchen conditions, etc.).
