How we restore order where others give up: rebuilding 2024 accounting for a growing SPA Business

In early 2025, we were approached with a request to assist a company in the SPA industry. The business had been operating for over two years, was actively expanding, and showing steady growth. By the beginning of 2024, it had reached a monthly turnover of IDR 300 million, employed a team of 15, and was processing over 50 transactions per month.

But behind this success was a serious issue: for all that time, the company’s accounting and tax records were in disarray.

Despite several attempts to bring in qualified professionals, nothing worked. Reports were filed late and with errors, there was no transparency, and a structured system never emerged. By the end of 2023, closing the annual reports took a major effort. And for the entire 2024 fiscal year, accounting hadn’t even started.

At that point, the client turned to us to, essentially, “clean up the mess.” The scope of work was extensive:

  • Process over 500 transactions

  • Recalculate and file all monthly reports for the past year

  • Restore proper tax accounting

  • Bring internal bookkeeping into order

  • Prepare all necessary documentation for both the company and its founders

We didn’t waste any time. Our team immediately stepped in and has already made significant progress: the reporting process has been launched, documentation is being systematized, and the accounting structure is now being built out. The client has expressed satisfaction with the interim results and, for the first time in two years, feels that the matter is finally in good hands.

There’s still a lot of work ahead, but we don’t see that as an obstacle — we see it as a professional challenge we’re ready to take on. We’re not afraid of complex tasks; in fact, they’re where our expertise and teamwork shine the most.

One of our greatest strengths is reliable partnerships. We work with many companies specializing in tax and accounting support, and over the years we've built strong, often long-term relationships. Many of our cases come through referrals from trusted partners, clients, and colleagues — and this one was no exception.
