Singaraja Immigration Office Is Now Called Buleleng: What Foreigners Should Check

From 5 October 2026, 32 immigration offices in Indonesia have new names. One of them is the office in Singaraja in northern Bali: its official name is now Kantor Imigrasi Kelas II TPI Buleleng. The changes concern the names and organization of the offices — the official announcement does not introduce new requirements for visas, KITAS or periods of stay.

The names were changed by decree of the Minister of Immigration and Corrections M.IP-30.OT.01.03 Tahun 2026. In addition, 14 offices had their typology adjusted, meaning their class and border checkpoint (TPI) status. Typology depends on an office's functions, territory and workload, and some of these changes affected the renamed offices. The immigration service aims to define each office's authority more clearly and improve its services.

In the Bali and Nusa Tenggara region, five offices have been renamed:

Previous name	New name
Singaraja	Buleleng
Sumbawa Besar	Sumbawa
Maumere	Sikka
Atambua	Belu
Labuan Bajo	Manggarai Barat

All five keep the Kelas II TPI designation.

Before submitting applications and sponsor letters, check the office's official name. If your documents are addressed to the former Singaraja office, use the new name, Buleleng. Companies that handle immigration paperwork for foreign employees should update their letter and application templates.

Search for the office online and book appointments under the new name. If an appointment confirmation you received earlier says Singaraja, you can confirm the visit details with the immigration office or with the specialist handling your application.

To recap: the official announcement covers only the change of office names and typology. It introduces no new requirements for visas, KITAS or periods of stay, and the immigration service has not announced any mandatory reissuing of documents already issued.
