The acceptance of applications for Indonesian visas has been suspended

The Directorate General of the Indonesian Immigration Service has temporarily suspended the acceptance of visa applications. The restriction is valid from January 1 to January 14, 2021.

According to the Circular Letter IMI- 2034.GR.01.01 2020 ON THE TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE ENTRY OF FOREIGNERS INTO THE TERRITORY OF INDONESIA

"c. c. The Attaché / Technical Staff of the Immigration Service / The Staff of the Diplomatic Service must:

1) Temporarily cancel all visa applications;

2) To spread the information that non-tax state income for immigration that has been paid cannot be refunded;

3) To disseminate information that foreigners who hold ITAS/ITAP and/or re-entry permits, which expire when they are outside the country for the period of temporary closure of foreigners' entry into Indonesia, can make an extension online by applying for a permit via the Internet.

e. Heads of Immigration departments, Supervising immigration checkpoints must:

1) To refuse to provide entry documents to foreigners to the territory of Indonesia on the basis of the Decree of the Minister of Justice and Human Rights No. 44 of 2015 On the procedure for inspection of entry and exit from the territory of Indonesia at immigration control;

2) To carry out supervision and control related to immigration and the issuance of entry documents:

a) holders of diplomatic visas and official visas related to official visits of foreign officials from the ministerial level and above,

b) Holders of diplomatic residence permits and official residence permits,

c) holders of permits for limited stay and permanent residence permits, as well

as d) crews of vehicles arriving with transport;

6. b. This circular letter is valid from January 1 to January 14, 2021 and will be further evaluated."
