Legal Basis

  • Decree: Head of BPJPH No. 22 of 2024

  • Regulation: Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 42 of 2024

Certification Fees

  1. BPJPH (BLU) Fee
    Covers certification, audit, and accommodation
    Based on official decree No. 22 of 2024

  2. LPH Fee – typically Rp 5,000,000 (for PT PMAi)

Halal Criteria

Products must comply with Islamic principles regarding:

  • Name

  • Form/appearance

  • Ingredients and production process

Required Documents

General:

  • NIB (Business Registration Number)

  • Halal supervisor & appointment letter
    (Must be a Muslim with training & competency certificate)

  • KTP (ID card) & CV

  • Distribution permit / SLHS (if any)

For Restaurants:

  • NIB

For Finished Goods:

  • Shelf life > 7 days: BPOM certificate required

  • Shelf life < 7 days: No BPOM required

Certification Process

  1. Initial Consultation & Document Check

  4. Quotation Issuance
    LPH issues an offer based on your product and business profile.

  5. Registration Submission
    Legal Indonesia assists with submitting complete documents to Food Research Institute..

  6. Site Inspection by Halal Auditor (LPH)
    Physical audit of production/restaurants by certified inspectors.

  7. Fatwa Council Review
    Certification results are reviewed by the Islamic clerical body.
    Lab tests may be requested if any issue arises.

  8. Halal Certificate Issued
    If approved, your certificate will be issued and uploaded to the system.
