Requirements for Arrivals in Indonesia with an eVOA Visa

eVOA

Offshore visa — to activate it, you must enter the country. If you are already in Indonesia and have obtained a new visa, you need to exit for at least 1 day and then return.

The eVOA visa upon arrival in Indonesia is the most popular and accessible visa for foreigners visiting Indonesia, usually on the island of Bali for short-term tourism purposes.

The visa is single-entry, and upon leaving Indonesia, it is canceled.

It is issued for 30 days and can be extended once for another 30 days. Thus, with a VOA, you can stay in Indonesia for a maximum of up to 60 days, after which the country must be exited.

From the visa issuance date, you will have 90 days to enter Indonesia. The issuance date is indicated on the visa - field Date of issue.

For entry into the country on this visa, you will need

1. Visa. 

   You need to print the visa or save it on your phone

2. Return ticket

   The date of the return ticket must be within the validity period of your visa excluding extensions.

   In other words no later than 30 days after arrival.

3. Tourist Tax Bali Levy

   All foreigners entering Bali are subject to a mandatory tourist tax called the Bali Levy of 150,000 Indonesian rupiah (approximately $10).

   Moreover, the fee must be paid by all foreign tourists, regardless of whether they arrive on the islands from another country or from another part of Indonesia.

   How to pay?

   It can be paid online before arriving in Bali via the official website.

   Through apps: Google Play  or App Store 

   Or upon arrival at Denpasar airport.

4. Travel insurance

   Insurance is not mandatory, but it may be requested.

   In general, in Indonesia, it's better to have insurance because medical care is very expensive.

5. All Indonesia Declaration

   From August 18, a new electronic declaration All Indonesia is introduced for foreigners.

   For entry, it is now necessary to fill out the All Indonesia electronic form 3 days before arrival.

   You will need to input personal information, flight details, and declare cash, gadgets, etc.

   After successful completion, you will receive a QR code. It's better to screenshot it for presentation at airport control.

What should be paid attention to? 

1. Boarding passes

   Recently, Immigration pays attention to stickers and marks in the passport. If you do not have a stamp confirming your stay in another country before Indonesia, questions may arise about how you entered the country. It's better to be safe and keep the boarding pass. If there is no boarding pass, then contact the airline.

2. Passing through passport control using automatic gates

   You can use auto exits only if you have a biometric passport.

   Children under 6 years old will not be able to use the autogates..

   If you used the automatic gates, please contact us directly so that we can immediately add you to our database and start tracking your visa expiration dates.

   When you go through passport control using automatic gates (provided that your visa was issued by us), we will receive an email confirming that you entered the country.

3.  Visa extension within Indonesia

   Upon arrival in the country, a sticker with the visa expiration date will be affixed to your passport (or if you passed through the autogates, you will receive an email with a stay permit, be sure to notify us if you used automatic gates). If you wish to extend the visa, you need to contact us at least 6-10 business days before it expires to arrange for an extension at minimal cost.

   For the extension, the original passport must be provided, the process is done in Bali.

   If you overstay your visa, the fine is 1,000,000 per day.
