What to do for your card to work in another country

BNI works without restrictions only in Indonesia. To avoid disruptions in other countries, it is necessary to inform the bank where you plan to use it.

How to do this?

1. Open the BNI app and press "Pengaturan"
(at the very bottom right)

2. Select "Aktivasi Transaksi Kartu di Luar Negeri"

3. Enter the account number in the first field, and the country where you plan to use the card in the second.

4. If you plan to fly out and return to Indonesia, tick the box (as shown in the picture).
Then choose the request until which you will be staying in that country.

5. If the data used was correct, press "Lanjut"

And it's done) Changes may not take effect immediately)

 Opening an account in the BNI app

  1. Select "Rekeningku"

  2. Then select "pembukaan Rekening"

  3. Next, you need to click "BNI DOLLAR"

  4. Scroll down and press "saya setuju dengan s&k"

  5. Then this choice will appear

    It is necessary to choose one of the options "tujuan pembukaan rekening", which means opening an account.

    • Investasi (Investment)

    • Tabungan (savings)

    •  Transaksi (transaction)

  6. Need to select "sumber dana", meaning you must choose one source of funds.

    • Bisnis (business)

    • Investasi (Investment)

    • Penghasilan (income)

    • Warisan (inheritance)

    • Lainnya (other)

  7. If choosing "Lainnya" as the source of funds, you need to indicate "asal sumber dana lainnya", where you get the income from.

  8. In the "Rp. 0.0" field, you need to enter the equivalent amount from IDR for conversion to USD, the minimum deposit is 100 USD.

  9. You need to enter the password and complete the transaction.
    Note: the currency that a bank client can open in the app is indicated here.

How to transfer to another bank

  1. Select "antarbank" (all banks in Indonesia)

  2. Choose "Transfer ke tujuan baru" (Transfer to new destination) 

  3. Bank "tujuan" (destination bank) 

  4. Enter the recipient's account in "Nomor rekening tujuan" 

  5. "sumber dana" (source of funds) 

  6. "input nominal transfer"

  7. "layanan transfer" (transfer services) 

    • BI-FAST (RP. 2.500) 

    • Realtime online (RP. 6.500) 

    • SKN (RP. 2.900) 
      the only difference is in the administrative fee 

    • "tujuan transaksi" (purpose of the transaction) 

  8. pemindahan dana (fund transfer) 

    • investasi  (investment) 

    • pembelian  (purchase) 

    • lainnya (other) 

  9. Enter the transaction password

How to top up GO PAY

  1. choose "E-wallet" menu

  2. "input baru" (new input)

  3. Enter the phone number registered with GoPay

  4. Select the nominal

  5. Enter the transaction password

How to top up your mobile balance

  1. Select "Pembelian" menu (buy) 

  2. Click on the "prabayar telpon" voucher

  3. Select "jenis" operator (operator type) 

    • "telkomsel" 

    • "Indosat ooredoo" 

    • "XL/Axis" 

    • "TRI" 

    • "Smartfren" 

  4. Press the input button 

  5. Enter the phone number 

  6. Select the nominal 

  7. Enter the transaction password

How to view an account number and make an account statement

  1. Select "rekeningku" (my account)

  2. Select "tabungan & giro" 

  3. Then it will show you the account number and balance 

  4. "mutasi rekening" (account mutation)

  5. Select the time range for the desired account statement 

  6. Choose "selanjutnya" (next) and download the version in pdf format. 

  7. "transaksi terakhir" (last transaction)

How to change the mobile number for BNI m-banking or BNI mobile banking

This can be done online and offline at branches.

Through the app:

  1. Open the BNI Mobile Banking app

  2. Select "Pengaturan" menu

  3. Select "Mengaktifkan notifikasi SMS" menu

  4. Select "Jenis layanan: Ubah"

  5. Select "Nomor akun"

  6. Enter the account number

  7. The "Threshold debet" column can be left blank

  8. Press the "Melanjutkan" button

  9. In the verification section, check again if the mobile number is correct

  10. Enter password and press "Melanjutkan".

  11. Wait for the notification that the replacement of the mobile number in BNI Mobile Banking was successful.
