What to do if you lose your passport?

The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office reminds you of what to do if you lose your passport.

1. Immediately contact the nearest police station to make an official statement.

2. Report the loss to the embassy of your country to find out what are the conditions for obtaining a passport at the moment and whether you can get it now without delaying your stay on a visa. If this cannot be done without an overstay, you may have to return to your home country to obtain a new passport.

3. If you managed to get your passport in Indonesia, keep in a safe place: the passport, a statement to the police, and a statement to the embassy.

4. Upon subsequent renewal, please provide the Immigration Office with:

  • New passport (original and copy)
  • Application to the embassy (original and copy)
  • Police report (original and copy)
  • Indonesia arrival ticket
  • Copy of visa
  • A copy of the arrival stamp

5. When leaving Indonesia with a new passport, provide at passport check:

  • New passport (original and copy)
  • Application to the embassy (original and copy)
  • Police report (original and copy)
  • Indonesia arrival ticket
  • A copy of the main page of the old passport with your photo
  • A copy of the arrival stamp

6. Keep your passport in a safe place, know your embassy phone number and email, take a photo:

  • the main page of your passport
  • entry stamp pages
  • visa pages
  • pages with stamps on the extension of the current visa
  • the ticket with which you arrived in Indonesia
