All foreign nationals are prohibited from entering Indonesia during the national lockdown (Emergency PPKM), but it does not apply to:
1. Holders of Diplomatic and Official visa;
2. Holders of Diplomatic and Official Residence Permit;
3. Holders of Temporary Stay Permits (ITAS) and Permanent Stay Permits (ITAP);
Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a document clarifying vaccination regulations for foreigners in Indonesia on July 8.
Among the main points:
1. Foreigners leaving Indonesia from Jakarta or without domestic flights are not required to present a COVID-19 vaccination card.
The National Covid-19 Taskforce has declared an additional requirement for foreign travelers to enter Indonesia to protect Indonesian citizens from imported cases.
Immigration offices in Java and Bali islands are temporarily closed for in-person documents service on 5-20 July 2021 to stop the spread of COVID-19. During this period, the population will be served online.
The General Directorate of the Immigration Service of Indonesia announced that the building of the General Directorate of Immigration will be closed until June 25, 2021.
This will be done to minimize the spread of Covid-19 at the Directorate General of Immigration.
As a result, visa application quotas will be limited. Applications that had been already submitted would be processed.
Indonesia officially stops issuing visas for foreign citizens who have lived and/or visited India within 14 days starting on Sunday (25/4/2021). The decision was announced by the Chairman of the Committee for Handling Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPC-PEN) Airlangga Hartarto in a virtual press conference, Friday (23/4/2021).
Airlangga said that currently, several countries, including Hong Kong, New Zealand, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Britain, Singapore, and Canada had banned travel from India.
Travel restrictions in Indonesia concerning Visitor Visa and Temporary Stay Permits refer to the Regulation of Minister of Law and Human Rights No. 26 of 2020 about Visa and Stay Permits Policy in the New Normal.
The Indonesian Immigration Directorate has issued a letter number IMI-GR.01.01-0331 dated February 11, 2021, which details the entry rules for foreigners, visa application requirements and current visa extensions.
